Oh yeah, the effects loop on the MAG300 needs a footswitch, or at least a switch. Not that I would use it.

hey, i just wanna know from people who've used this cab.
i read a lot of GREAT reviews and i don't have alot of $$ to throw at a high end cab.is this really ALL THAT?i play 5 string and i need a tight cab. w/ clean low end.i can't help but wonder about the freq. response @ 60hz.I prob. would pair this up w/ the ashdown mag 300 head cause they both are priced, well, cheap.i don't like spending my $$ on junk but this rig has got me real curious.any help will be appreciated.

I have an Ashdown ABM-ii RPM-1 (the rack mounted tube preamp). I run it through a QSC RMX 1450 power amp into a Bag End Q10BX-D. I play an Fender Aerodyne 4-string P/J. I really love the dirty tone. The DI sounds good and it sounds really gnarly through the Bag End. I will probably replace the rest of the gear as I can afford it- Bergantio NV610, Duck Dunn P-bass, Stewart World series power amp- but I'm pretty sure the preamp is going to stick around. It works well for me.
