Ashdown (official) vinyl amp covers

  1. Hi

Does anyone here own any of the official Ashdown vinyl amp/cab covers, as seen here?: http://www.ashdownmusic.co.uk/shop/Catalogue.asp?Show=COVERS&ShowDesc=Vinyl%20Covers

The pics on the site aren't very detailed, and I was wondering what they were like, and how well they were fitted. I'm considering getting a MAG head and possibly 2 MAG 210/115 cab covers to fit my rig.

A review / pics would be nice if anyone can be bothered, otherwise are there any decent made-to-measure alternatives available in the UK?

    Cheers

  2. I bought one for my Electric Blue Combo.

Fairly robust cover, canvas type feel to the outside, fits the amp pretty well, not so tight it's difficult to get it on and off though.

Not padded in the slightest.....this is just a cover!

Have been considering getting the covers for the rest of my Ashdown gear too....only thing stopping me is spare cash!

    Hope this helps!

When I saw the title to this thread, I was intending to say NOOO to the cover since its vinyl. My guitarists have gone through THREE vinyl covers on their Marshall cabs in the past three years, and I still have pristine, like-new looking cordua covers on my Aguilar cabs.

If the cover is canvas or cordura in some fashion as is posted above, then you should be OK. Plain, unpadded vinyl will cost you more in the long run if you keep replacing it when the tears just become too pervasive.
