I'm confused, The original post was for the RM800 and this looks like the same amp. No biggie, I know nothing about Ashdown and I'm not in the market. I just posted it here because of all the hassle everyone was having over the original ad.

Some who received a shipment actually received the RM-800. The original listing that MF had online was for the RM-800 EVO. What they have listed now at the following link is described as an RM-800 but if the pictures are accurate, it's an RM-800 EVO...

I think they upgraded the power section too. I have the RM 500. Fantastic amp. Gets really loud. I think it will replace my ABM 500.
Wait a minute.
That little amp (EVO series?)can give you the big, thick, bottom of an ABM500?
Now I'm interested.
I've got a MB Fusion 800, a Fender 800 Pro, GK RB400, and an Ampeg CL pre with a 1500 watt power amp.
I currently like the ABM the most for rehearsal and bar gigs.
I did play an outdoor gig with my Bergantino HT322 with no PA support and I did like the extra clean power of the pre/power rig but it's stupid heavy to move in its' flight case.
I'm going to have to check out the RM series.
Does it get that clean, 3-D soundstage that says "I'm about to klick a$$ just as soon as meathead starts playing"?
That's where most of my concern is. I like the EVO package better but for three hundred, I might could live with this amp. Yep, "might could".....

I've got a couple of amps that I'm pretty satisfied with so I don't have to keep it. I do hope that it impresses me. There's a soft spot for Ashdown amps in my heart. It would be nice to have another around and an amp that is a little different from what I already have. I'm not going to force it though just due the price so the trial begins!
I saw that! Still don't think the graphic EQ is for me. At least not as the sole EQ. Another thing. I think that I can get this RM-800 to sound like the Retroglide. Not sure that the Retroglide could reciprocate....
@Metaluna , check this out after my last response I decided to take a look at the link you posted for the Retroglide. When I clicked on it I was directed to THe Bass Place but the amp wasn't the Retroglide. It was the RM-800 EVO that was listed! I immediately called the store and they assured me that it was indeed the EVO. I bit. Same price as the Retroglide. If it is the EVO when it arrives, the RM-800 is getting returned to GC.

Ashdown was distributed in the US by KORG USA. KORG and Ashdown disconitnued this relationship sometime in the second quarter of 2017, and at NAMM this past January the two companies had separate booths. This probably explains that both the sale pricing and the confusion over availability and model,
as all dealers were now having to switch suppliers and models simultaneously. That being said, I still avoid both MF and GC as much as possible.
