At what point should you stop buying combos?

It's gonna be hard for old dudes like me to answer the OP because combos today are not what we grew up with. The $150 Berringer combo and the $1250 Phil Jones are technically both combos. Would I show up to a gig with either. You bet - the PJ combo does it for most of what I do and where I go. So I can't really say I'll never quit using combos, when they can be as good as a Phil Jones and still fit on the back of a motorcycle.

Combos tend to get a bad reputation thanks to Behringer, Fender Rumbles and similar low-cost low-quality products.
