Atkinson basses... who owns one?

I thought Retro was Allparts and couldn't be shipped together? That looks like USACG.

I put my order in just before the Fender vultures swooped in on Dan, so I got one of his last "complete" retro basses. I can't remember exactly why Dan used USACG instead of Allparts for my bass (something to do with it being left-handed obviously), but you don't hear me complaining.

As a side note, its kind of nice that in the same page in this thread you get a picture of what I wanted my bass to look like and pictures of what it ended up looking like.

EDIT: By the way, what does USACG use for the dots in their necks? I can't help but notice those look darker than the standard white plastic ones.

While we're at it, we shouldn't allow them to write with their left hand, or make left-handed baseball gloves, or left-handed hockey sticks...

I actually wrote left handed and my kindergarten teacher made me change and learn to write with my right hand. I can still write pretty well with my left...

I think it has something to do with the fact that many if not most people aren't formally taught how to play guitar or bass so they do what comes naturally to them. Even before I started playing bass if someone handed me a right-handed guitar I would instinctively flip it over and play lefty.

I am sure you are right. Sorry for the OT! I read an interesting article with John Patitucci once who is left handed, but plays in the "normal" way. This is probably because he is a classically trained upright player. He felt that because his left hand was so strong, he was able to play with lots of articulation and left hand phrasing techniques that wouldn't be as natural to a right hander.
