Yeah, I really dig the tone from that P. It's somewhat of a one-trick pony. Pure raw bass.

Dan, can you comment on the "vintage-ness" of the USA CG necks? I know they'll do a vintage-spec neck (fret size, radius, etc), but do they all come with the graphite rods? To your ears does that make a difference if one is going for a complete old school tone?

I don't hear any change in tone with the graphite (unlike the steel rods in Warmoth necks). The USACG sound totally vintage to my ears. Check the soundclip above to hear for yourself.

I don't, but I really wish I did. Stupid me for not recording something before I shipped it (I already sold it).

It has a unique tone. It's something between a Tele and a Les Paul. Very cool vibe.
