Atkinson basses... who owns one?

well, she's at my house!

i rolled in the 810, have both my carvin B1500 and old SVTII ready to go tonite, so i can get to know her--i plan to really check her out this week, take to rehearsal on friday, then report back with a review early next week, i want to really get a feel for both the solo sound and then how it works with the band:hyper:

Ok, so I've been flip-flopping for a while on how to price things, listening to customers, and also dealing with Fender's legal crew. I've finally settled on a lineup that should work for everyone.

And I've updated my site: Invalid Link Removed

J and P style basses are still available as the "Retro" series. Bodies & necks are AllParts. This lets me provide a custom bass that is super affordable, which is especially crucial in this economy. For the price of the parts alone (about $850) I provide a fully assembled, pro setup bass. Upgrades are available, like nitro finishing, pickups, bridge, aging, etc.

The AllParts stuff is awesome. Really good. The drawback is more limited options and no way to customize the necks. They are great necks, but there is no option to select a custom radius, fret size, thickness, etc.

Those kinds of options are only available through USA Custom Guitars. I will still be offering a product using USACG components, but it will be a "tweaked" version of the familiar Fender style, with a different headstock and subtle body changes. This will be the "Evoke" series. I hope to have the first one built in about 4 weeks or so. This will be a slightly more "boutique" offering, but still very affordable. I'll be offering tons of different finish options in poly, nitro, or Tru-oil. Upgraded components. Customizable neck with graphite reinforcement. Active electronics available. Etc, etc.

Comments & questions welcome. And any input on the new site is welcome also. :)

Dan can you do SS mando frets?

Where's the double P, I can't find it?

I'd like possibly a reverse double P or at least a single reverse P pu.

Website banner image updated. Thoughts? This will most likely be the logo going forward. Will fit better on the Evoke headstock. (No decal on the Retro basses for legal reasons.)

Dan, great logo!

I must say though, I thought the other one was fantastic. It's a tough call I guess. The previous one had a real retro look to it...
but we haven't seen the Evoke yet, so I'll trust you that it fits its headstock better!

It's been at least a month since I made myself a new P, so... ;)

I decided to go for pure simplicity. The result:

This is the best one

I wonder why you don't offer a 5 strings at the moment, since you're still using USGCG as supplier and you've already made 1.

I was interested and sent you email regarding a 5 string jazz with modern look.
Anyways, I love your new logo and website..and very courious about the evoke series.
