Good deal on the bass and some folks in this thread have gone above and beyond and shared their "better deal codes." Good on them. But anyone buying more than 2 of these has only one thing in mind, and it's not "Hey, I've got 13 spares now!"

So I have shared 5 or 6 codes with people and bought 1 bass, plan on another if stock is available in 4 days, so whats that make me?

Its also kinda hard to flip a bass for 2x what you paid when its discontinued and also there listed at MF for 199.99$

I vote to leave ethics out of this thread, if you want to get ethical cut MF or Ibanez the proper checks they should have received because at 130$ shipped someone is losing money.

Yea, I figured it might be to make a few $'s off of them but even those buyers HAVE to realize that they won't be the ONLY ones trying to "flip" these. If a lot of people try this on eBay, the resale will drop to the $180 figure and nobody will be making much profit off of them...or will they? It's just the first time I've seen this. And I have offered my codes to others at (I think) mine is already going through but it looks like the gig may be up as I think they are all now gone.

I offered previously in this thread and that offer is still available. I have three open/available codes that haven't been used ($169 Sparkle Red 300, $219 Black 305 and a $169 300 in black) available for others if they want them, just PM me.

You misunderstood me. About those who shared their "better deal code" I said "good on them." That's my way of saying thank you. I'm ALL about the better deal. I have a problem with BS though. Those saying they are buying multiple basses just to have them as backups are full of it. If you're gonna do something, be honest about it. NO shame in stating "I saw this deal early and bought all of them. I will sell them at a modest $XYZ profit." And giving folks a good deal...playing it forward, so to speak.

Those trying to be coy about it are just obvious to me and I enjoy throwing the BS Flag. That's all.

Of course the First Rule of Capitalism applies here...or will apply in the near future. Something is worth what someone will pay for it. When Ibanez discontinues this exact model, it's value will go up. Someone sitting on a few brand new ones will be able to sell them at a profit, especially based on what they paid for them today. Nothing wrong with that. Just don't try to be a saint about it.

I agree with your assessment. That's the way of the world. I was just voicing my thoughts about several posts/comments in this thread...all the angels buying the basses up to preserve them for all posterity and all that jazz.

Because I have been a huge ATK fan. Seeing as how I own zero right now, and just got 1 i would like 2 for different tunings.

Plus the fact there not making these anymore, I am 20 years old, 1 ATK is not going to last my whole life so i would like to have a spare.

Not saying I will order a spare but if there are some tuesday when I get paid I will.I hate the term GAS, i never gas for anything except burritos

I'm siding with you on this one. If I had extra monies, I'd be investing heavily in Ibanez wood right now. The deal is just too good to pass up. I could give em away to my close bass playing friends as christmas presents at these prices.

If I don't get the shipping conf on my 4-string in the morning, I may well be changing to one of the 5er's. My email is only good for the $219 price tag but I would likely talk to them on the phone to try to get the $180 deal on it... We will see

This thread doesn't seem to need any ethical commentary, really. It's a pretty cut and dry good deal; MF and Music123 wouldn't sell them for this price if they didn't want to move them, and if someone wants to buy several and flip them, good for them. Quick and easy investment, it's what capitalism is built upon.

That said, I've seen so called 'deal' threads that just felt wrong. i'm sure some of us remember the great 'guitar center giveaway', where a technical glitch let buyers use as many discount codes as they wanted. People were buying stingrays for 200-300 bucks and all sorts of stuff they didn't even want. You can practically guarantee someone lost their job over that one, but most TB'ers were too stoked to stop and care. In comparison, this is pretty cool.

You guys really suck bad, and I have 2 new basses on their way (red sparkle 4 and black sparkle 5), with no place to put them.

I will sell my boob bass for $200 + shipping to anyone who wants it. It's brand new squier active jazz never used covered with naked chicks.

I will sell an acoustically HUGE sounding carlo robelli ABG plus hardshell case, locally, for $75 (case alone was $150 and impossible to find - one clasp is busted but it all werks). Too much hassle and not worth it to ship.

Will probably be selling lots more before the weekend is out.

Well, they said mine would ship today when I ordered it. I used a regular credit card and not paypal (Seems some have a delay on the paypal credit hold for some reason?). Anyway, if it ships today, I should have a ship notice tomorrow, right?

I ordered one yesterday at like 3 pm , got the shipment info by 9 am with it not being in UPS's system yet and as of now it has a orgin scan in LENEXA, KS, US .


Not sure when these will arrive for west coast people like myself with thanksgiving coming up.

Does UPS deliever the day after t day? thats my b day so it would be rad.
