LATE NOTICE: Unfortunately Dancing Skulls is not able to accommodate us tonight.
However the show must go on!
Come to Hooligans Tavern 8440 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Roswell, GA 30022.
We will play beginning at 8:00PM until 10 or 11pm.
Our "band" played together for the first time just two days ago. As mentioned previously, you are welcome to bring your bass and use my amp for a few songs if you wish. We're looking for a fun time, hope you can make it!

I'm retired from my work life right now and semi-retired from my gig life right now. The Olympic white one I posted is my 1960 precision. That was my bass I used for many many years when I was on the road playing clubs and concerts.

Nowadays I jam with a few friends create some nice music. I just grab whatever bass happens to be hanging closest to me the time. Even though they're all precisions, each one has a different tonal palette. Lot of different pickups in them. Just a little of everything.

Got it! Your 60’s Precision has to have quite a unique voice over the others from the woods used during that period. It looks to be in great shape, too.

I bought it used in 72 or 74 it had just been refinished in an incorrect 2 color burst nitro and the neck refretted with huge jumbo frets and refinished with clear nitro. Over the years on the road stuff wore out and was replaced as needed so it's no longer 100% original but the body, neck, PG, bridge, thumbrest, covers for bridge and pickup are original. The pup is a Duncan antiquity which is very close to the stock pup which bit the dust while playing in Elko Nevada. I still have the original tuners, pots, tone cap and wiring but they're not on the bass right now. The neck has never been refinished since I bought it, but a brass nut was installed on it in the late 70's. The back of the neck is down to the bare wood and is smooth as glass from playing. The frets were recrowned in 2016 but hadn't been touched prior to that. Due to the HUGE jumbo frets there was plenty of fret left even after decades of RotoSound RS66 usage. A BadAss II bridge was on it for decades but the bridge has since been returned back to stock.

It sounds very warm and woody with lots of thump even with the RotoSound rounds on it. The thick slab Rosewood neck helps with that. The neck has the wide vintage Precision width but the profile is much slimmer than the modern "C" shape used now. The neck has been rock stable all the years I've owned the bass and rarely needs adjustments. If it does I've never had to give the nut any more than a quarter turn and it's right back in proper relief. I ran a gold anodized PG on it when I was on the road to protect rhe original Tort PG. I put it back on in 1985 or so when the Oly White nitro was sprayed on.
