au contraire mon frere

Do you come here for the sole purpose of contradicting everything other members post?

Your search for attention and desire to make TB all about you is frankly getting tiresome.

I find it tiresome that the majority of active posters seem to come here for one reason, to contradict what other posters write.

I like you, and used to enjoy some of your threads.

I thought you were ok, until you just figuratively slapped me in the face!

you won't get the sympathy you crave this way, and it pains me to see you repeatedly blaming everyone here for your lack of happiness.

What if complaining gives me happiness?

There are thousands of posters here and if each one started ten threads a week bitching about some imagined grievance and twenty threads a day listing the things in life that everyone has to deal with but that they don't like, the place would be a horrible narcissistic whining pit of mindless unreadable tripe.

I'm not even going to address this, because it simply won't happen. Thousands of those posters are dormant.

Seriously, get over yourself!

Well, that comes off as a gigantic STFU from you.
I would suggest that if you no longer like my posts or threads, you can forego reading them.

You should try thinking about funny things, which can create endorphins to make you feel better.

Not trying to put you down, slap you in the face, or shut you up! (Almost Rick-rolled myself there).

The threads you start do get good when people start making it funny but then you just go and start another one complaining that we all contradict you.

That's the only part I'm bitching about!

Carry on.

I'm over it now anyway. Time to get some work done. I put my Fender Blacktop parts all together and I'm about to start soldering all that back together.

On other websites it seems like all people do all day long is rage-type in comments sections. It is unfortunate that we've turned a digital Library of Alexandria into cesspool of stupid human tricks, p0rn, and anonymous hate.

That's what it's always been and always will be. Have you ever seen the router activity of the latter compared to the former?

Nice shielding job there! Did you do it?

Yeah, but now I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to solder the shielding wires from the pickups and the bridge ground to the solder lugs I intend on using.
I am purposely trying to do this w/o soldering to the pot bodies, but putting a solder lug ring terminal on the tone pot makes it so you can't get the pickguard back on.
So, I will have to figure out how to do it using just two of the ring terminals, on the volume pots.

Then I'm faced with how I will ground one side of the tone capacitor.

I've come to the conclusion that it's better to just state my opinion on something and then see what others have to say, vs. defending my position on an issue. It makes life a lot easier when there is a roomful of people willing to fight you tooth and nail over even the most trivial things. Such as, whether the Earth is shaped like a sphere.
