I've come to the conclusion that it's better to just state my opinion on something and then see what others have to say, vs. defending my position on an issue. It makes life a lot easier then there is a roomful of people willing to fight you tooth and nail over even the most trivial things. Such as, whether the Earth is shaped like a sphere.

Yup, you don't have to justify or explain yourself. Your opinions are your opinions. We are a tough audience here but don't let the personal confrontations of a few convince you that everyone is against you. Most people here like to live and let live.
Sometimes the less confrontational folks are the quitest, except for that blabber mouth with the Columbo avatar.

Yeah, but now I'm having a difficult time figuring out how to solder the shielding wires from the pickups and the bridge ground to the solder lugs I intend on using.
I am purposely trying to do this w/o soldering to the pot bodies, but putting a solder lug ring terminal on the tone pot makes it so you can't get the pickguard back on.
So, I will have to figure out how to do it using just two of the ring terminals, on the volume pots.

Then I'm faced with how I will ground one side of the tone capacitor.

Why don't you just solder all the grounds in one long go and just put one wire to the output, one leg of tone cap to vol 1 ground, vol 1 ground to vol 2 ground, vol 2 ground to output, shielding connected to ground via output jack.

Oh yeah... meant to complete that last post...

I learned yesterday that probiotics plant the seeds for healthy gut flora. In order for us to grow and maintain that flora we have to actually feed it, and as odd as this sounds, what we should feed it with are unripened bananas, and raw potatoes. I kid you not. I have to read up on this a little more, but that recommendation comes from the wheat belly doctor/author. I think that guy is a bit nuts, but I know his dietary recommendations are working for many people. I'm gonna have a go the next couple of weeks at some raw bananas. And I really want to make a banana dolphin for my wife. She likes dolphins. All women and Anthony Keidas like dolphins. I kinda like them too, but not like they do.
