Bummer! I just ordered and received a third preamp and was looking to order a fourth.

Wow that’s terrible! In the past year I’ve purchased 3 preamps from them and they were all excellent. Definitely will be missed.

David was great to work with and very accommodating on my last order – a customized pre w/passive tone.

I've been a fan-boy for years but it is what it is. Here's the latest...and apparently last...install: an older Pro Z which I purchased here on TB. Looks like a rat nest but sounds great!

Sucks to hear this, I was keeping a shortlist of preamps to try and Audere was near the top.

On the other hand, I respect them for shutting down and resolving their business cleanly rather than try to thrash through a situation that's out of their control.

I’m curious as to why they didn’t pass the costs onto the consumer like other companies have? I think Fender has done an increase or two this calendar year alone. I had one briefly and they quality products so think people would be happy to pay an increased price if need be.

Yep, David Meadows is a really great guy. He gave me some great ideas when I was starting down the DIY preamp builder's path nearly 20 years ago. He came out to a few TB GTGs in my neck of the woods back then too, and added a lot to the party.

Klos also just announced a 20 percent across the board price increase to cover the costs of tariffs.

Tariffs are bad for consumers and businesses. Full stop.

That is very disappointing and saddening! Great guy! I have what I consider to be a custom pre from him from back in the day. Have some options that have not been offered for some time. Proud to own one of his pre.

Price was just part of it. "Parts availability" was the other. The letter said they didn't want to switch to sub-par parts

Not good, I was really surprised to see this happen. I just received my 2nd jazz plate 3 band a couple weeks ago; I love the sound and the tonal shaping it provides. This tariff BS is not helping us, especially the small companies who either eat the cost, raise their prices or go out of business. We, the American consumers are paying the tariffs.

Got a Pro JZ3 for my mex Jazz bass last year and it was the game changer. Love it. Sad the biz is closing but glad I patronized it.

I bought 2 preamps from them quality preamps at a beyond fair price. Honestly isn't good news for the bass community.

I've got a build in progress and was going to go with Audere pre... just emailed my luthier the bad news but it turns out he already got it! Probably one of the last ones.

That's sad news for sure. I'm rather late to the game as my only 2 Audere setups came inside a couple of TB Classified basses purchased in the last couple of years. It's good stuff, eh @tindrum?

My favorite preamp, AND so affordable!!
Luckily I just got one from them 2 months ago for a build.

Bummer! They were in my neck of the woods too. I like to buy local whenever I can.
