I would suggest a 3-position switch for the 15; "flat" "loud" and "quiet"

Might be cool to have the typical 10" woofer "rising midrange response" built in on the loud setting. Just a thought though.

From my experience with the T112, that would be a very, very bad idea. The treble roll-off is a thing of beauty (wouldn't want to lose that... makes the cab sound like a very good one way cab), and given the reasonably low crossover level, the 'off' position is not even needed (I would doubt anyone would use that position on the 112, much less the lower crossed over 115.

just what i want...more switches.

it's impossible to make a cab that's all things to everyone, and gear that tries to be all things to be everyone ends up being a jack of all trades and master of none, so why even bother? too much work and money for too little reward.

+1... that gentle treble roll-off is really the only thing you need IMO on the Thunderchild type design.

For those wondering what the heck I'm talking about, the tweeter rolloff switch was Jimmy's idea.

Just ran mine with my friend's Axe-FX/Carvin DCM1500 rig actually. Sounds great for both guitar and bass, and kicks the crap out of the Atomic Reactor "full range" cabs tonally, volume-wise, and in terms of power handling (albeit at twice the price, it should!)

You're getting the new 'acoustic-friendly' version, right? Sounds like that one's pretty close -- Duke plans on bringing one along to the Boise TB GTG in a couple of weeks. And I'm hoping to leave with it if all goes well...

If I was playing cello in an electric string quartet (or basically doing anything but loud rock bands that I need to take the subway to) it would be perfect. I look forward to seeing the reviews on that little monster.

Intrepid, the final version differs somewhat from what you and I had talked about. Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like details. Also, one will be at the New England GTG in late April. It can be modified to sound like the regular version in about a minute, so it can represent both.

Derek and Passinwind both played a role in the development of the acoustic-friendly version, the latter unknowingly.
