I just picked up the Quilter BB800 too. It sounds great with my Hathor 212. Very solid sounding. Sounds better to me than my Prodigy and MiniMega. I'll be using it on Saturday for a gig. My band mates like the Hathor better than my NV610 probably because of the better dispersion and all around tighter more focused sound.

I think Thor would be happy with the power output of the Quilter lol. Going through two AK cabs it totally demolished the rest of the band with the master at 1:00. not kidding. I was letting the dude after me use it, and he was painfully loud, and it's not often I think the bass is too loud.

I think all my basses sound a little better with it with minimal fiddling. I like the feel of it better too. Hard to explain but I've been looking for a head to pair with my Hathor 212 that would give me some of the heft of my SVT. The Quilter does a pretty good job of that, better than the MiniMega and the Prodigy. I run a couple OD pedals for light to medium grit and they work great with the Quilter to create a somewhat tubey tone.

My MAS-112 is merciless and seductive. Clear, yes, but not as a bell. As a pretty old fellow, I can report that it sounds and feels like an old tube era home stereo; like big Advent speakers. But quick and present in a way that the old cabinets never could be. It has a beautiful, enveloping wooliness along with its immediacy.

Based on my Hathor 1203 and others' reports of their bigger Hathors, I would expect the bigger Hathors to be much more like the MAS-112, but with Duke's characteristic voicing and spatial presentation instead of Mike's.

As for Baer cabinets, my ML-112 is the only one I ever played. For me, it is not nearly "all about the high midrange". Here is what I wrote about it at first:

I had an Hathor 1505 side by side with an Eminence loaded MAS 112. Very close in total output. MAS was slightly warmer, and a bit more polite. 1505 is a Killer Rock cab and by far the hardest hitting sub-40lb box I have had the pleasure to try.

As an NV610 owner myself, I have no doubt it's an easier schlep! I'm curious, have you used thet SVT with the Hathor? If so, I'm wondering if you plugged one or more of the ports.

I have used the SVT with the Hathor 212 at a rehearsal. I didn't plug any ports though. It sounded really really good. So far I've never plugged the ports. It never gets boomy at all. Maybe if we play a boomy room but so far I haven't needed to.
