Took my TC112 out for Halloween at a cool little bar in the mountains.

I was tucked into the corner between the drums and PA speaker. For these types of things I actually like being right on top of the drums. I run my amp at a healthy volume so I can do my thing.

The guy in the Run DMC outfit came up and asked to sit in on drums. We probably should have politely declined but he had a big group of friends cheering so we brought him in for a tune at the end of the second set. And he hit way too hard, so hard I could hardly hear myself. Lesson learned.

Our regular drummer commented afterward that listening from the audience, even with the loud drums, the bass sounded great in the mix. I was pushing my Quilter V803 with a THDI and getting a nice thick and gritty sound. The TC is such a great little box!

This is where the Changeling cabs really shine IME. With a Changeling cab next to the drummer, Duke's "Swiss cheese cab design" and rear firing mid/upper end driver give drummers a nice full range sound from the bass cab at a reasonable stage volume.

I always get a compliment from a drummer when I use my C112T.

I started this very thing this past year for smaller, intimate venues and was quite pleased!

The bottom cab is for the drummer.

No complaints from the drummer!

It appears @eaglemachine has been working through this thread and liking some old posts. It also reminds me that I've had hathors for 10 years now. My feeling haven't changed. The hathors are the perfect combination of great sound, portability and value. Lots of new cabs have been introduced since. I'm sure they're great but these still check all my boxes.

I provided PA and ran sound at a church event several weeks ago. The band is used to playing inside with in ears but I've only got old school amps and wedges. Well not really that old. Like the bass rig, the PA was put together with portabilty as a top priority.

I put the out the mesa and one hathor for the bass player to use as his monitor and DI'd to the board. I set the input and master at noon and told him to set it how he wanted. He never touched a knob and I had to turn it down to keep the bass from overpowering the everything else and put very little bass in the mains. His jazz was growling.

A chuch member built the TV stand for this event. It may be the most awesome thing I've ever seen at church.

I found a used Hathor 1203 on the classifieds and love it. It sounds so good and it’s a perfect size for living in a condo. I ordered a 2nd one and plan to sell my Greenboy Fearless F115 (I like it but it’s too big).

Eventually I plan to get a Changling 112 as well.

Paired with a Quilter 803. My wife even noticed and commented how great it sounded!

I found a used Hathor 1203 on the classifieds and love it. It sounds so good and it’s a perfect size for living in a condo. I ordered a 2nd one and plan to sell my Greenboy Fearless F115 (I like it but it’s too big).

Eventually I plan to get a Changling 112 as well.

Paired with a Quilter 803. My wife even noticed and commented how great it sounded!

Hah! I went in the other direction...an early adopter of the first series 12" AK cabinet, and several later iterations of 15" models, and now using fearless. Happy with my decision, but all of the AK 12" cabinets are insanely good. Enjoy!

Nice! Fearless are really great cabs. Another flavor of awesome as they say. The AK 12’s form factor and sound just fit my needs better at the moment.

Here’s a picture!

Just touched up the Duratex, replaced the plastic corners and replaced the metal grill. Running it with a Quilter 803. Can’t wait to take it to practice.
