AudioKinesis Cabs Part VI...

I thought you wanted to hear the H1203s first?

Don't get impatient because you will need a lot of patience when ordering the cabs. Duke is quite behind in production due to his woodworker setting him back. I've been waiting over a couple of months now for my 1203's.

So patience is a virtue and most of all.... You can't rush art. ;)

I'm glad I at least have my TC112 v1 in my arsenal! Definitely no slouch there!!!!

Tanager has pizazz and would get my vote. The first two are too tame and you might as well have black. The last two would be OK in the right setting - like if you have a Jules Amp Monique in a beautiful wood cabinet on top of them.

Yes....I'm aware of Dukes back log. I was more or less alluding to my impatience regarding to just ordering the TC112 with out hearing the 1203's first. Strangerdanger lives close by and has placed an order for some 1203's. Our plan was to do a shoot out between the 1203's and my compact TC115. I want to flip my TC115 and go back to a TC112 (eventually, with a TC212 for big gigs) -OR- flip the TC115 for a pair of 1203's. I have a bit of experience with the v1 TC112.....I love that cab. My impatient side is telling me to just order the cab (TC112). Chris (strangerdanger) is being my voice of reason and telling me to cool it and just wait. I will wait.:-(

nostatic, I wish we lived a bit closer, because I'd like to line your cabs up against my Barefaced Super Compact again. It's had some time to break in, and I've had a chance to play with some EQ settings. I'm quite happy with the sounds I'm getting with my Buster (the head weighs double the cab; so silly), and the Genz Shuttle 9.0 I just grabbed. I'd be curious to see if the cab has changed with break-in, or if my ears have adjusted.

I still toy with the idea of a Hathor 12 (and I kinda dream of splurging on an 18). I'm also thinking of adding a second Barefaced. I'd get the Midget, which has a smaller size and adds a tweeter. It would be silly to buy all of those at once, but these are the things I think of at work all day.

Mighty Casey has struck out... Flash back to a dejected young MarkA hearing that poem for the first time. Sigh.

Not to throw recycled fryer oil on the fire, but there's also the option of the 1203/TC combo that nostatic has, but I suppose that even then it makes sense to wait until your bud's 1203 comes in so you can hear it. I think.
