Personally think people make a little too much of a big deal of amp voicings and pairings and stuff.

I've paired my TC with about six different amps now including direct into a mixing board into a cheap DJ power amp. Never not been able to get really nice sounds.
And yet your sig says you have "lots of pedals.":D

My friend Emmanuel spent some quality time on Sunday, twisting knobs with his BTB 676 and my 112AF, Flite 110MH and G-K MB800/Genz Streamliner 900.

His comment was that with the Thunderchild, there wasn't a setting that he didn't like.

Still, with very different basses, pickups, strings and tastes, we were getting very different sounds. It all depends on what floats your boat...

+1

..and there are so many different playing styles.
...and some great players are not as fussy about their tone as others
...and it depends on the context of the music

One man's floor is another man's ceiling.

I got my new GK MB Fusion today at Bass Northwest. If you are in the Seattle area, and want to visit a great bass store, visit Bass Northwest and ask for Jeff Fiorini. He’s really great guy, he will help you out, great friend. I am match the amp with my TC112 and it is perfect. I would really recommend that amp with the TC’s cabs.

Cool, I was actually meaning to PM you and suggest you ask for Jeff. He's a great guy and a great player too.

A little tube action in the preamp section definitely is nice with the TC cabs for a lot of things, IME.

There are only two players that I know of who have a hathor and it is described as much tighter in the lows, and probably fuller feeling all the way up the neck. The hathor running the woofer fullrange and using 4" mids will obviously have a different character. I've played lomo's TC112 and it was great but, I want more volume, paper cone mids and more growl. The Hathor is described as exactly that and I hope that it is. The wait is just killing me. If they are not my thing I should have no problem selling them since they are 8 ohms each but, I think they will be right. There really aren't many cabs out there that I haven't tried or want to.

The grills are completely interchangeable. They work with Dukes mounting or mine.

Mine is really simple. First, I mount the driver with 4 screws. I then drill holes through the grill to match the other 4 screws. I use something called a flat speed clip (about 1/2" x 7/8 with a hole in the middle) put the screw through it and tighten it down---but only enough to get a little compression against the grill.

I think that 4 screws are fine for holding a woofer in place.

Anything metal that's flat, about the size mentioned with a hole in the center will work. I just got the speed clips for convenience---I can buy 1,000 for cheap.

Great info. Thanks!
