Just a heads up to anyone considering these, they are dreadful, I use the long scale set and cut them down to size
The problem cutting is in Intonation due to string tension and in the hole diameter of MI in some instruments like Mikro that have a little diameter in tuners.
Excellent list, I'll add pyramid's black nylon's to the list. I haven't tried 'em but I've been wanting too, and it appears they offer a shorty set.
Thank you, it takes time and effort to do this stuff and post it to make life easier for the rest of us. May save someone some money too. I just bought strings for a Mikro and they are too long. Now I am looking for a bass to fit the new strings.
All Galli bass strings except the EB Nickel Coated and the Exposed Core are available in short scale, but their website does not specify the exact winding length.
They will be longer, almost medium scale, because they have to fit the added length between the bridge saddle and the string anchor.
For anyone in the uk Newtone strings are worth trying, they only do rounds at the moment but they can wind to any scale length and any gauge, I had them make me a short scale set in 100-74-54-40 with a taper at the bridge end
Oh hang on, this is the entire winding length for the bass, not just scale. Sorry. What would fit with this short scale: Gear4music 3/4 LA Bass Guitar
