Wanted to clarify here... Just because the -3dB is a certain frequency doesn't mean that the frequencies below that are going to fart at high volume, all it means is that they aren't going to be as loud.

I have heard reports from a few owners that they will, but it is probably at very hi-db & very lo-hz.
I'm set up to biamp a B212 and a B210 but am having some problems with equipment before the signal gets to them. I was short on time this morning so I changed from my rack set-up to my GK RB400III head and ran that through the B212 instead of the B210. WOW! Clear, tight, punchy, with plenty of bass!! Kinda makes me wish I hadn't just bought the rack set-up. Maybe bi-amp with a larger GK head instead... I'll see what I find. I love the B212 (and the B210 for that matter) they were real tight for the short time I had them bi-amped! Later!!
See if you can find an 800 RB. I tried bi-amping the 210 & 212 with mine and it is loud and sounds really good!

Does anyone use the 4x10? I was planning on getting that, but now im thinking either the 2x12 or the 2x10 with my peavey keyboard amp turned into a 1x15 cab (would that even work? I'm planning on wiring the speaker directly to a plate ill install in the back)
I may end up going that route but I just bought an F1-X, and a QSC PLX 1602. I have'nt had any time at all to play with it yet so may just find the sound I like yet. I think I've got either a cableing or F1-X problem somewhere...wierd noises! Hopefully I'll get a chance to look at it tomorrow. Later!
I am soon to buy a B212, but I am unaware of what speakers to use, and I do plan to use it alone, with 350 at 4ohms, thanks to a used epg B2R and now that I think about it I would like the punchier sound better.....I think, I may just get it with the kappa's.....I dunno I still don't have the money for any of this junk, but it is good to lay out what I can get, and want to get
I read this whole thread but i cant find and answer to this question: which covers the most playing styles: 4x10, 2x12, or 2x10+1x15. I need to be able to use the same thing for jazz, indie-punk, and metal/industrial. Im guessing the 2x10 and 15 will be best, but im not sure.
For a standalone situation, I would recommend
the B212 Delta;
for a stack, one of the following combinations:
B410 + B115
or
B210 + B115
or
B410 + B212 Delta
or
B210 + B212 Delta <--this is the combination I am hoping to get.

I would have to vote for the 212 - 210 combination. The 212 (w/Deltas) provides plenty of smooth low-end with defined mids and highs. The 210 provides punchy mids which is the only thing the 212 is weak on. This gives you a lot of possibilities. With both cabs in use, all frequencies are there for you to use. I use the 212 for jazz, the 210 for practice, the whole thing for an aggressive sound with plenty of bottom. Of course this can all be varied with EQ. I'm using an 800RB either bi-amped or not, depending on the gig.

According to Avatar, the 115 is avail in 4 or 8ohm. According to Emminence, the speaker is 8ohm.

I think the B212 and the B210 complement each other very well. Just got my bi-amp rig up and going. The sound is incredible! Very punchy with great lows, mids and highs. Get great lows out of the B2212 and super mids/highs out of the B210. Can't go wrong with this set up IMHO. Check with Dave too, he gave me a hell of a deal as a repeat cust! Later!
The real question is, do I buy the B212 with Delta's or Kappa's, I like a punchy sound, but I also like a good and defined bottom.....I dunno, I'll probably go with the Delta's because they are lighter
I talked to Dave before I bought my B212 Delta and he suggested the Deltas. It has a real punchy sound but the bass is full and clear. I guess I feel that punchyness contributes to definition in bass....I think that a rich bass sound is kinda muddy. JMHO. If you're close, you're welcome to try my B212?? Later!

I am hoping to get a simular set up with either a 2nd hand Alembic F-1X into a stereo power amp to biamp them or use a SansAmp RBI and run the Effected output with some bass cut into one channel of the power amp into the B210 and the Uneffected output into the other channel of the power amp into the B212 [my bass (a MM SR5) has a 3 band tone control, so I can control the overall tone balance].
I think either way would give good results.
Come to think of it while on the subject, do any of you bassists out there have a SansAmp RBI + stereo power amp + a B210 or B410 + a B115 or B212?

That's pretty much what I'm running. An F1-X, into a Rane DC24 then to a QSC PLX 1602. It sounds great and has plenty of power for my needs.
I would think you would have better luck running your mix through a small mixer then to the amp to control your effects. I've never tried it the way you were talking about but think it might sound kinda weird with one cab wet and one dry. Later!
