The reason for the 4 ohm 153 is that it's pretty much going to be a perfect replacement for anyone coming from a 4x10. Sensitivity is similar, low end is superior.

Not a lot of gigs out there that can't be done with that. For the few that are, I wouldn't recommend the TB153 unless you have the skills swap the mid and horn on one and stack them with the mids/horns together.

from what I understand you want the higher freq drivers as close as possible to each other to minimize phase issues. High freqs are smaller wavelengths so this makes sense. Low freqs are much larger so having the ports adjacent or opposite shouldnt make a diff.

+1 For the best stack have one built with a reversed baffle so they are like right and left hands when viewed from the front; then stack one upside down on top of the other so the tweeters and mids are aligned vertically. Like this...

Kringle77 had borrowed my GB Shuttle 3 to sample and since I have no other head ATM he left me his Carvin BX1500, which I played through the 153 at practice last night....gobs of volume and low end. I can't envision needing 2 of these if you have a head that can bring the juice into 1....but I understand WANTING 2 :-)

I haven't ordered my cab yet (only because I'm pending the sale of some other items) but I did order my GK MB500 which is going to power it! It's currently backordered, but I had a coupon for $100 off, so I just bit the bullet and bought it, thinking that was the greatest deal I was going to get.

I have yet to decide what route to go to get my bass guitar and key-bass (L/R hopefully) into it in the best, simplest, most flexible way, so I don't constantly have to step on something to switch between them.

B15/10/1 Prototype bass cab. Black tolex, black metal grill. one 15 inch
Eminence top of the line NEO kappalite 3015LF, one 10 inch Celestion TF1020
bass speaker, one Foster Horn tweeter. The 8 ohm 15" and 8 ohm 10" are in
parallel to make a standard 4 ohm bass cab. Both bass speakers share the
same chamber. This prototype sounds very good. We only have two and we're
keeping one for our music room. $369 plus $55 shipping (same dimensions
as our TB153)
