Avatar B115 Cube

Hey I've been looking into the Avatar 15 Cube cab and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with it since this thread was last alive.

I've got one, and I love it. Full disclaimer, though, 99% of my playing through this cab is in my living room, since virtually all NYC venues have a backline. I basically needed something that looked nice in the home, and could pass for a stage monitor in the rare event that I need to bring my own cab.

Mine has the bordeaux tolex with a wheat (I think) grill...or maybe gold weave, I forget. I got the standard Celestion BN15 driver in it, which I later read it is fairly close to the spec of the Bag End driver used in the S15 which inspired this cab. I know the Eminence they offer goes lower, but again, this is a stage monitor at best, so I don't need the massive lows (and I usually HPF a bit anyway). Right now I've got an AI Clarus SL driving it as you can see in the pic (mind the dried out tree to the right ).

At first I found the tone a bit boxy and peaky, but after a little while it evened right out, and now it sounds fantastic. In the past I've noticed neo drivers need a bit of break in, whereas ceramic don't seem to as much. I'm considering bracing the cab, but for apartment use, I haven't noticed an issue. It does fail the 'knock test', however, so I reckon I'll need to address it at some point, just not that pressing right now.

Anyway, very happy with the purchase -- if I get to the point where I need it live I'll post a review and another pic.
