Avatar Cabs???? Just looked at the website...

Turn's out I can get a 2x12 Avatar cab with 1000watts of power handling for $450! Has anyone ever heard of or played Avatar cabs? If so how does it sound and how is the quality compared to say a GKNEO 212? Thanks. I am buying soon so any reviews will help. Thanks!

I have a 210 Neo. Outstanding cab, not just for the money. It has nice low end extension, smooth mids and an obnoxious tweeter that I dial almost off for a balanced high end. When I ran two of these I liked them as much as my Eden 410xlt.

Under $300 to boot.

Avatar is pretty good stuff. Low end price at something like mid level quality & performance. I had a 410 NEO that my son borrowed during his HS gigging years. It worked flawlessly, sounded pretty darn good and was fairly light to transport.

big fan of avatar cabs. just rec'd a b410. i play avatar b210s and i have a b212. i've also owned 2 of their guitar cabs. great cabs, and if you call avatar, dave, the owner, may pick up the phone. great pricing, delivery, quality (rare to get all 3 of those in anything we buy today), and customer service. i highly recommend them.

Same here... gigged with mine for about 3 yrs now.. LOVE IT ! Think I paid $349?

PS: And Dave @ avatar is awesome to work with !!

EDIT: but I am sorta jonesing for a change... everything else in my rig has changed over the last 2 yrs, but the cab. I'm considering the 12" Barefaced BB2 (gen 3) 'cus I'm old and all about lightweight cabs. If it's over 50 pounds.. not happening.
I'm not overly concerned about which brand, mostly about weight as I'm DI to PA (from Ampeg SVT7-pro) and use IEM's. Cab is ONLY there for guitar player to monitor on stage as we run subs.
Backup is an Ampeg SCR-DI.

I went from Avatar to Barefaced.. Absolutely, the biggest upgrade I've ever made.
