Avatar Cabs???? Just looked at the website...

I have heard some that were fine. But I bought anew Avatar 1-12 cab used once and it was the muddiest pice of poo I have ever owned..... and I owned an 80s era Peavey TKO so that's saying something.
Which drivers were in the Avatar you played? Loaded with Faitals I would put it above the GK. For sound at least, I would imagine the construction of the GK is probably superior.

. The fact that so many different drivers can be loaded into the same cab should be a clue. Stuffing speakers into a hole is not the best engineering practice.
They stand up to several other mainsteam cabs and IMO, blow the others in their price range outta the water. They are very versatile cabs, but I actually like them best for aggressive stuff. My GK MB200 and a hot p-bass using a pick yields some pretty sick tone. They handle fuzz and other such effects well too, but I'd pair them with a robust head like a GK, Peavey, or Hartke. They do color the sound some, but I feel its in a positive way.

How do you like the SB126 cabs? I'm considering a pair myself, but haven't found enough gig threads on them / reviews / etc.
I agree, which is why I've stayed away from their other cabs. I need to hear a cab before I buy. I think they got lucky with the 210 Neo cab. It really is a great 210.Sorry I didn't ask and sure didn't pull one to find out on a cab I didn't own
I have one - Delta 12 LF, cross over at 2.5kHz. I love it - it has great low end. 2 would be killer!
They're excellent. I've owned four of them over the years: Two 410 NEO's, a 212 NEO, and a 210 NEO. My favorite was the 212 combined with the 210. I sold them because I have a back injury and went to Schroeder and Barefaced for extreme light weight. But I don't think you can go wrong with Avatar. Good luck.
I have B212. Good cabs. Bang for the buck wise very hard to beat. You can spend more in better cabs... but they are a very good compromise between price and quality. Better than many in fact.
I got a B210 Neo, green tolex, hounds blood (?) grille cloth, used, in showroom shape, for $200. Paired with a GK Backline 600 head I got in the TB Classifieds for $125 shipped, it's got to be competing for "best bang-for-the-buck" bass rig. Sounds phenomenal.
I've owned an Avatar B115, SB112 and B210 all ceramic speakers over the years. Back when (early 2000's) the pricing was really low. Best cabs for the money. They are basic workingman's gear. Nothing fancy and no extra bells and whistles! Dave stands behind his cabs and you can contact him directly for any issues.

Well, this was my first gig with them in a real live-fire situation, but I was really happy with the results. I will say having the B15 cabinet as a dedicated low frequency makes a huge difference. I have set the amp's built-in crossover at 99Hz, all frequencies above that are going to the SB126's.
Until I had Dave at Avatar build me the B15, I had used the pair of SB126's only a couple times, and I found them to be fantastic, very focused, no flab... I just wanted to experiment with bi-amping. I play 5-string, and I tend to play a LOT on those low notes.
I'd recommend just calling out there... they were very knowledgeable and helpful. Dave is on TalkBass too @daveAvatar
I've got a pair of B212s with the Delta LF ceramic speakers that I vastly prefer to the GK 410 neo stack I play through at the rehearsal studio. They've got a ton of punch and some great stuff happening in the mids, both of which are absent from the GKs. I get a lot of the same sound that I've heard out of the Eden 212xlt. All of this opinion formed using the same amp, a Carvin Bx1500, if it matters...
I’ve never tried one but they do use the same box size for many different driver types, sizes, and combinations which makes me think that the low price sacrifices some cabinet tuning.

I'm using one now. I bought a B212 cabinet with adjustable horn loaded with the Faitals wired for 4 ohms. Previous I've used a Jack 210, Fearful 15/6, Fearful 12/6, a pair of the Aguilar DB112, a Dually 215 cabinet, and a Warwick WCA 611. I like it, it's got good punch, solid low end but not way extended. I went Avatar instead of GK cause I wanted a 212 cabinet at 4 ohms that plays nice with my GK 400RB-IV, cause that amp is a little anemic at 8 ohms, but is awesome at 4 ohms. I think it's a reasonable good sounding cabinet. I certainly think there are better cabinets available, but I just don't have the appetite now for having such a high dollar set of speakers when no one really, REALLY notices the difference.
