Nice stack! Love the color too. If I can only get a 212 in blonde to match my 410, I'd be in heaven.
Ready for a bump, rig all packed up and ready to go to the gig.
What kind of amp are you running on that setup?
I have a 1x12 Avatar with a Gk800rb, but was looking for an amp that was a bit smaller and lighter. I feel like I'm not getting enought mids (I know the GK is a bit scooped), but besides power I like the setup overall. I was thinking another 1x12 would do the trick.
Or does anyone run a 1x12 with a 2x10??
Im the type of guy thats will try just about anything to improve tone. Not that my tone is bad but always looking at different combinations of cabs and amps. Currently Im running a 400+ into 2 410 Neo's and it sounds great. Im wondering would their be any advantage to bypassing the crossovers in the cabs, wiring straight to the speakers?
I will be a proud avatar owner soon. I just cant decide on what to get.

I am trying to cover all my basis. Large/small gig, rehearsal, lows...etc
I am afraid option #2 is overkill and afraid option #3 is not enough.
thoughts on this?

Yes you can play one by itself. Make sure your amp isn't pushing out more wattage at the Ω rating of the cab if you tend to push your amp. Depending on the tone you're after and how loud you play you shouldn't need a second cab. I would recommend getting an 8Ω cab as opposed to a 4Ω cab unless you have an amp that can go down to 2Ω. That way you can add a second cab if you need or want to. What are you using for an amp?

What styles of music do you play? Option 2 seems the most versatile. Either the 210 or 212 alone would be fine for smaller gigs, together they should handle anything you don't have PA support for. They should get low enough unless you like that real mud tone. Depending on your amp and bass settings you should be able to get everything from a modern tone to an old school R&B, blues tone.
i play in a gritty alt country bad. We mainly do small gigs now, but are gaining attention and will be playing larger rooms toward the end of summer. I expect to play in a room with anywhere from 50-1000 folks. I imagine it will be about 50/50 on gigs with PA support.
I play on an artcore agb140 semi hollow for this band. But am considering a mim jazz. Depends on how much I spend on the rig.
I am beginning to lean toward the 4x10 and adding a sansamp bddi. This will cost the same as a 2x12 and 2x10 without the bddi.

Thanks for the response. I'm using a GK 800RB now. I used to use a SVT-CL with a 6x10, loved the head, but the cab never had enough low end umph for me. I like feeling the bass behind me - ala 2x15's, but am also looking for portability, that why the 2x12 interests me.

I've actually played option 3 in a Boys & Girls Club Gymnasium through a bassman 300 along with my Sansamp. Whoa! I was blown away. Now, a large outdoor gig... there I can see that maybe not quite enough. I will say, I just ordered my 2x10 cab and can't wait to get the 1x12 once I sell of the other gear I have. Just my experience...
My head is a Genz Benz NeoPak 3.5, each cab sees about 250 watts @ 2 ohms total, love this little rig, best I've ever had!

Nice! I want to run a similar setup with my minimark, which uses the same MB250 amp system i believe. How does that SB112 sound with that setup?
Nice! My rig's a Genz Benz paired up with an Avatar too. Genz Benz 600 and a Avatar 2x12. I'm most likely going to get an Avatar 2x10 so that at bigger venues I can bring my whole rig and run it at 625 watts and at smaller ones I can lug around an amp half the size of the one I have now.

I have not turned my volume past about 4 - 4.5 (on range of 1 - 10) this combination put the load on my amp at 4 ohms and amp is rated at 375 watts at 4 ohms.
I have only played a couple of gigs in smaller venues, about 3000 square feet or so and we only run vocals through the PA at this place.
I have plenty of head room, the mids are strong, the low end is very nice, and highs are there when needed.
I previously ran a SWR goliath III, but this set up is easier to carry and SOUNDS BETTER.
