Would you current Avatar owners say that the cabs are pretty efficient? do you seem to get a good amount of volume per watt?

Great cabs, I've owned a few of them but pefer 2 2x10's now. Hey try stacking them vertically you might like the sound even better.

I sure do. I use 2 2x10's with an Acoustic B600H and the headroom is enourmous. Both cabs are 8 ohm and handles my 5 string very well.

I have the older 210 Delta which sits atop a 112 Neo. I love these cabs. I've been gigging with these weekly for the almost three years. Really efficient, great sounding, and durable. These are worth more than Avatar charges for them in my book.
Definitely. I dont know about older models, as this is my first Avatar 410, but range of sound from low to high is amazing for a 410.
can i get a number. b210 i'm running it with a peavey 115 for now may go with a 112 avatar but figured i give this a try. got it in black tolex to match the paevey in case a wanted to keep this set up.
Yes, definitely! I was really impressed with how loud they were compared to my swr cabs I had previously. Very present sounding if that makes sense.
That thought was on my mind. I had them stack vertically in my studio and it looked really cool and made the amp at a nice height. I just came back from a loud rehearsal and had them stacked horizontally as pictured. As the name plates are arranged that seems right, the voice coils are actually closer. Next time, I wanna try them stack horizontal and see if there is any sonic difference.
What do other guys think about the stacking format???
I can tell you my double SB112 stack gets really loud and DEEP and bright with little distortion from an amp that puts out 312 watts at 4 ohms. I barely had the volume knobs up and it was plenty loud.
And I could NOT see any woofer movement from the Eminence 12" at volume. It barely breaks a sweat. That makes me feel like these drivers are built for volume and should last. We'll see.Today's Guitar player was this huge, 6-8 fella who ONE HANDED my second cab out to my car like it was a guitar case. I find it quite easy to carry one cab up and down stairs.
I bought 4x10 (8 ohm) and a 2X12 (8 ohm) . I got 410 first and it was not very loud, I was unimpressed (read rest of story) .When I got the 212 they were thunderous! Late into my first gig something sizzled. The next day I figured out one 12 was open (electrically) since they are wired in series the whole cab was dead. I called Avatar they sent out a 12" speaker that day. I got to wondering about the 410. Measured the impedance, it was 16 ohms. I found 1 10" speaker open (I believe it was that way from delivery). That meant I was playing through a 16 ohm cab(410) and a 8 ohm 212 cab. twice as much power in the 12s as the 10s. They sent me a 10" speaker that day..with apologies for my problems. I replaced both speakers and everything is great now. It is not quite as thunderous a it was but, now it is right!
Avatar's customer service was excellent! They were very much concerned about my issue and prompt in taking care of the problem.
It is rare , unfortunately, that customer service excels but, Avatar has it down!
If you are considering Avatar, rest easy, I hear horror stories about other companies delivery times and horrendous customer service.

I have an LM 2 going into a Markbass 102p(2x10) and a GK Goldline 2x10. I am ready to pull the trigger on the Avatar

I am ready to pair the Avatar B212 with the Markbass 102P. Any opinions on how that would sound. Or should I go with the B210 ? I think I'm looking to get some more bottom end, that's why I'm thinking about the B212. Appreciate any thoughts on this.
The 212 has 50% more speaker surface area, and a substantially larger cabinet than the 210. It's going to push a lot more air.
Just got back from playing 3 days at a weekend retreat. Used just a 212 to play to about 120 guys in a big, long lodge type of room (tall beam ceilings). I could easily fill the room with bass at half throttle. The low B rumbled the whole room. Kept up easily with a drummer and two electric guitars really cranking.
Well, Dave @ Avatar refers you to the Eminence site for the speakers specs - not ncessarily what the cab+speaker will do. Perhaps someday Tom and the folks at BG Mag will put Avatar in the lab for some no kidding tests. In the meantime, I'm delighted with the sound I get running either an LMII or Mesa V12 through my 2X12.
And the specs don't apply, because Eminence builds a custom speaker for Avatar.
