And the specs don't apply, because Eminence builds a custom speaker for Avatar.

From Avatar's website:

"the custom deltalites made for us have an Xmax of 5.2mm instead of stock 3.9mm ..and a better looking standard dust cap"

I assume that's the custom part of the custom speaker, otherwise we wouldn't be directed to the Eminence website for tech specs...i could be mistaken though. In any case, those are pure speaker specs and not speaker+cab, as many have said already, so they could be misleading.

What I refer to as the second gen drivers, those with the longer xMax started shipping in ...

10" September of 2006
12" March of 2007

So if your cab came from Avatar after those dates, or if someone else replaced the drivers with those from Dave, you have the 'second' generation drivers.

I just got my B410 Neo yesterday. Anyway I can get a number?

Just ordered a new rig on Tuesday... Avatar B210 Neo in blonde with a Shuttle 6.0 head! SUPER excited to check it all out. If I dig the Avatar (I'm sure I will if it lives up to the talk around here), I'll most likely order a B212 Neo to go with it!

5sg.

I just took delivery up a B212 a couple of weeks ago and I am noticing a buzzing sound when I use a hard attack on specific notes on my bass. Particularly 9th fret on the A string. Anyone ever have a similar issue ? I thought it might be the tweeter, so I turned it down a bit but I am still hearing it. Seems to be intermittent. Thanks for any help.

Take the back plate off and disconnect one of the 12's and see if it stops, then reconnect and disconnect the other. It could be a bad speaker. I had one come that way once and Dave took care of it right away. The speaker had been dropped (jarred badly)in shipping and it ruined the speaker. If it still does it after you have checked the 12's one at a time, then disconnect the horn and try that. Make sure you unhook the speaker cables to the cab before you do this. You dont want any power goping thru the cab when you touch thos leads. i would tape the loose ends up while testing also.

Thanks JTC, I actually tightened the screws holding the horn in and it seems to have gone away(a couple were quite loose).
