Double Bass Avishai G String

Anyone knows what G string is Avishai Cohen using?

Even though I've read somewhere that he experimented with an Oliv G, I believe he's being using a full set of Spirocore Weichs. You can check google images and you'll see Red on the bottom and purple on the top on a lot of the pics.

Thanks for the reply, but in this tour he is using other G and the rest of the set Spiro weich.
This is just my curiosity... because i'm thinking in trying a set of weichs.

Did you take any pics? If you remember the color of the threads at the tailpiece and by the tuning pegs that might help. The oliv G is white with green spiral by the tailpiece and brown at the pegs.

I'm waiting for the video of that show, but i remember some white at the tailpiece, and i talk a lot with him but nothing of tech things.
Probably like you say, it's an Oliv G.
I will look for a good image of the Strings, then tell you something.

From that distance it looks like an Oliv. Did you get your hands on the bass? If so the oliv is about the same diameter as most D strings so really easy to tell. Really great string but with gut core you can have tuning issues.

Quick update.

I catched Avishai live early this week. I was front row hyper and had the chance to see his bass very well. He's back to a full Spiro Weich set. He sounded great and I have no words to express the state of bliss after his concert.

I love watching gigs that have an effect like that and I can imagine he was incredible. I still need to catch him live.
