Avoiding Swamp... errr... Sweaty Buttocks

An exotic dancer friend of mine once recommended laying on a good coat of anti-perspirant where things may tend to become less than dry. Never tried it myself, but she WAS a professional. As regards the Gold Bond - it's good stuff, but if you can handle the odor the menthol powder in the green container keeps things nice and cool.

But that's like mixing cake batter:thumbsup::vomit::eek:

This. The best solution by far is....wait for it.......a FAN!

Powders and wadding will be great for a few minutes and then......worse than nothing at all.

What works every time for me is a squirrel cage fan. You can put it 15 feet away and still point it right at yourself. In worst cases I have set it right at my feet and pointed right up at myself.

Edit: As a side benefit you can point it at the audience during a set break and allow them to dance in the breeze. I actually met one of my ex girlfriends that way. ;)

In the middle of a hellish heatwave. Outdoor gig this afternoon. How does one avoid looking like they've wet themselves? Thanks.

You wouldn't happen to be Scottish, would you? Would you like to become one? Just for a while?

I usually use a small pancake compressor with an air hose running from behind my rig to my backside. I use a black one as the fluorescent orange ones are a bit to noticeable on stage. Set the compressor to about 5 psi. Run the hose right down the back of your pants and let her rip... Believe it or not, most people think it's some kind of super important cable or effect tube!! Worked well for me! Stay cool my friends!
