Great basses, but maybe widen your search to include Rhododendron bases, too.Looking for an Azalea EUB.
.... autocorrect stinks!I'm in Rochester. Can you hear me?!?Anyone have one within shouting distance of central NYS?
Hahahaha...indeed I can! A few decades back, I did a few weekends at the Strath w Nancy Kelly, Danny D'Imperio, and Miles Brown..very enjoyable. Do you work in the area as a jazz player? We may have a few common cohorts....feel free to DM if you want. Do you own a hollow body Azola? (Perk...)....I'm in Rochester. Can you hear me?!?
The wonders of AI! Somehow I didn't even think to ask.I don’t know if this helps.
Google identified the clamp as this:
I didn't try superglue. I discovered when I used the hose clamps that a lot of pressure is required to keep the telescoping end pin from collapsing. I decided superglue probably wouldn't be strong enough. Thanks!Did you try Superglue on the broken clamp?
That endpin system is different than the one I had on my old BugBass, sold 25 years ago.
Putting some rubber, like a piece cut from a bicycle inner tube, inside a hose clamp gives a very secure grip. I’ve done it with a double bass endpin.I didn't try superglue. I discovered when I used the hose clamps that a lot of pressure is required to keep the telescoping end pin from collapsing. I decided superglue probably wouldn't be strong enough. Thanks!
