Agreed. I hate weed, and haven't touched it since undergrad, but I agree. It is a real shame it's illegal. My best friend's dad died of cancer several years ago. He was smoking a LOT of ganj towards the end, and it helped him immensely. He put weight on (when beforehand he was shriveling away to nothing), felt much better, and it vastly improved his mindset.

I think part of the problem with marijuana and the social context it takes is that many people use it during their "binge" days in college and high school, when marijuana really isn't a binge drug like cocaine and alcohol.

I haven't partaken in over 15 years, but man me and the gang used to rip nuthin but the best. Humboldt green buds bigger than a pine cone, real deal thai sticks, pure chocolate Afghan bud, Persian Orange bud, (it really was orange!) tons of sticky and un-rollable purple haired Hawaiian green, candy bar sized bricks of pale blond and pure black middle eastern hash, and my favorite, Hawaiian Hash Buds which I've never seen since.... Ah them's were the days...

I can say that I've sampled a lot of that too. Purple haired stuff has always been my favorite. Purple indica bud.

Those hash buds were off the chain. A friend of mine would visit his dad who lived in Hawaii about 3-4 times a year, & he'd always bring back plentum. They looked like gooey green rose thorns with red hairs all clustered on a stick. They'd come in these long thin wax paper sleeves. Superdelicious expando with an insane racy buzz. Perfect for runs down to Trestles..
