B HEFNER - EDENHOUSE

I bought a one piece mahogany jazz body from this company (based in California) and it was not cheap. It took ages to arrive in the UK and it was 2 pieces the second piece being the bottom inch of the body (dumb or what?). Rather than send it back I asked for a refund and despite promises to refund my $100, nothing. Great work on the body but I suggest that you do not use this company.

It sounds like your expectation was that the glue seam for the two pieces would be centered, and they just glued an add-on to one large piece to make the full blank. I've seen this practice on older or cheap builders. Unfortunately, the B. Hefner website makes no claims as to how they glue up their blanks. If you get anything out of them, you've probably come out ahead.

No, his understanding was he bought a one piece body (not glued) and it came as 2 pieces witht he second piece being a small section at the bottom of the body.
