B3n patch library.

Here's another patch I came up with. inspired by a youtube clip, this patch has a tube distorted sound in a preamp form.

classic bass distortion

optocomp: drive: 5, lo: 50, hi: 50, level: 90

voodoo b: drive: 40, tone: 45, balance: 30, level: 95

bass drive: bass: 59, treble: 50, presence: 40, blend: 70, drive: 50, volume: 90, mid_f: 1.0k, mid: 70

What bass do you use? It s important as the same sound will not be obtained the same way depending on wood, pickups, etc...
I use Ibanez premium SR1200.
Specs:
  • Mahogany body with ovangkol top
  • 5-piece SR4 wenge/bubinga neck with KTS titanium reinforcement rods
  • Rosewood fretboard
  • Mono-Rail IV bridge
  • Nordstrand Big Single pickups
  • EQB-IIISC 3-band EQ with bypass and mid-frequency switches
  • Gotoh tuners
  • 34" scale
  • Gold hardware

Ok, I'm waiting for a Ibanez SR655 ABS, with Nordstrand pickups too.
It's not the same but ...
I actually have a bass with single coil pickups config, so I'll try to give you this sound.

I've listened to to spudmonsters, strife and raised fist, and I find that the bassist of stife has a more medium oriented sound than the others.

Any way I'll try to make some patch for you.

Here is a first attempt.

You can get it directly from tonelib editor.

I didn't know if it was for use with headphone or amp, so I made it for headphones. You will probably need to take down some low when using with your amp, or simply deactivate the amp at the end of the chain.

Read the comment for the patch, I give some advises to take max advantage of it.
Enjoy!!
I'll wait for your critics and comment , I got thick skin so don't worry LOL.

Thank you. I will test it properly on Sunday, at practice. Until then i will test it on a small 20 W home amp. If you got more ideas in the meantime, please post them and I will test them. Generally what I strive toward is low, almost clean E string while distorting high tones moderately. As we are three peace band, I cannot sacrifice the low end and the distorted highs, help cutting through the HUGE guitar sound.
BTW. We are recording a couple of songs now. Hopefully I can share them with you soon(depending on conditions, as it will be released on a compilation).

Hi guys, does anyone have a really good patch for Dub Reggae sort of stuff , I had to re initialise my B3N as it was not working correct, so I lost a lot of patches I had added, total bummer but the pedal was just not going to work without doing it, been searching through these posts and just going round in circles

I've uploaded another distortion patch.
Called Greta Dist Very flexible one. Multi distortion patch. This is meant for you to use in stomp mode and decide how much and which kind of distortion you want. I've made the patch in a way to allow any combination of the 3 distortions used and still have the same output level. It's here (click)

You may know this, but ToneLib has a full backup/restore function for all patches. This was one thing I was worried about with the Zoom...all the work put into customizing patches could be lost without having a backup.

Hi, I am new to bass and to this forum. I have a Squier Vintage modified Jaguar SS, had the Z1on for a few weeks but wanted a bit more, so purchased the B3n recently. I am looking for Cliff Burton's Patches and Steve Harris so if anyone has any ideas...If i get the zoom expression pedal is there a way to get a decent Cliff sound?
