No I haven't tried putting anything under the bridge foot. It seems like that's an important contact spot so I haven't thought to mess with it. Maybe a metal disk or washer that's the same size as the bridge foot...

The plastic cover on mine isn't really thick enough to slim down, but maybe replacing it with something that I can vary in thickness is the way to go. I think I read about people using plastic tubing to replace a missing bridge cover?

I talked to Brian about that bass yesterday. He acknowledged some seam seperation but says everything else works.

The FB looks pretty warped... maybe the weird fingerboard truss can fix that.

That looks like more than "some" seam separation, but IME that hasn't been a big deal. Mine has a little separation in the same spot that hasn't moved in the 7 years I've owned it.

The original fingerboards seem to be pretty decent pieces of ebony, as well, so it can probably be reshaped if necessary. Definitely a good price for one if its reasonably playable and the electronics are clean and working.

Since I will be getting the new MOG BB, I am selling my travel MOG on eBay. I like the travel bass, but I have way too much gear right now and need to make some room.

I'm surprised that no one picked up the BB from the low end. Seems like a great deal.

I just put together an Aguilar rig. I got the AG500 dual channel head with a DB112. I gotta say this is a killer rig. It has a nice thump with a rounded out boom. I can only imagine the sound once I get a second DB112.

I like that Aggie head. Never tried it with Baby Bass, but for electric, it has a great tone.

Does anyone know what type of preamp is on the Ampeg Reissue? I'm thinking about possibly replacing it with an Aguilar or Bartolini. The other thought I have is to remove the preamp and piezo and just run passive with the diaphragm pickup.

It's been a while, but as I recall, one of the knobs was a push/ pull switch and defeated the preamp.

The volume pot is a push/pull which defeats the preamp. I pretty much only run the bass in passive mode which is why I'm thinking of just removing the piezo. As far as replacing the preamp with a newer one is to have more options such as bass, mids, treble, ala the newer Azola basses.

I suggest use the Aguilar preamp for this ...
