Bacchus VS Sadowsky Metro

OK, I didn't realize that was the Bacchus website. It used to be just in japanese!!
My only gripe is I wish they offered more maple necks. The MOP blocks/lightly figured maple on my current Bacchus is HOT.
This is the one I'm gassing for. I love the leather pickguard and body color.

There's no comparison. I have a Bacchus and a Sadowsky. The Bacchus is a nice bass. Comparable to an American Fender but not in the same league with the sadowsky. Not even close.
I have a bacchus fretless 5'er . Not sure how old it is. It's a very nice bass. One of the high end ones, not a cheap one. Nice tone, nice feel. Just not in the same league with my Sadowsky Metro.

I've had an American Fender and it's not anywhere near the same level as the Bacchus.
I currently HAVE an America Fender that's not near the same level as my older Bacchus. From what I understand the new Bacchus hand made series is even more refined than the older "Headway" series and all the rest from just a few years ago. I wish we could get someone from the Bacchus factory on here

I've got 2 Metros - an RV5 and an MV5. My Bacchus is crafted every bit as good or better. When I dig in, it does not buzz anywhere on the neck. I cannot say the same for either of the Sadowsky's. Sound wise, the Sadowsky's appeal to me more as I prefer the Sad pre-amp over the Bart. I'm considering removing the electronics in the Bacchus as I think it would kill with Sadowsky guts.

My two have different electronics and very different sounds. The Standard has a Bart NTCT pre and branded Handmade pickups. The Venus has unbranded pre and pickups. The Standard is just so sweet, tonally, the Venus is a lot more aggressive sounding. I couldn't fault either tbh, it's great having noticeably different tone from each.
To each his own. My bacchus ain't even close. It's a great bass for the money but the comparison is laughable IMO.
Mine was considered top of the line when it was produced. One would have to lay hands on it to understand where I'm coming from.
I prefer mine to Jazz basses from Alembic, Sadowsky, Celinder and Fender that I have tried a reasonable amount. Like you say, to each his own. I wouldn't say a comparison was laughable but just difficult as we are essentially comparing basses with a number of options avaliable on them. I have yet to meet another bass like this:
I like being connected with a small company who obviously care a great deal about their customers and who put a lot of love and effort into their instruments, and if that company happens to differ to yours, then that is because we know different people! I have to say that visually I am not a massive fan of the standard jazz bass built by any company, but I am a sucker for a super-Jazz!
To answer the questions about the TwentyFour bass (mine should be here any day now!) - the controls are bass and treble, pickup pan and volume. I have not tried the Bacchus pre yet, having Bartolini NTBT abd Villex electronics in my current one but I am looking forward to it.

Same here. I suspect some degree of sports-fan mentality at play here. I've even got a bacchus forsale so I have no hidden agenda here.
1. Yes they do.
2. I'd imagine they are the same size as the EMG cased Nords, but contact both parties for dimensions if you are unsure.

They may not list it as a standard option, but I have been informed that Bacchus can make it however you want as a custom order.
