There's no comparison. I have a Bacchus and a Sadowsky. The Bacchus is a nice bass. Comparable to an American Fender but not in the same league with the sadowsky. Not even close.
What Bacchus do you have and how old is it??
That is really sexy! The Impression 35-5 is the one that gets me every time. Damn I want this soooooo much.... and a Woodline P Classic 3TS![]()

I've had an American Fender and it's not anywhere near the same level as the Bacchus.

I've got 2 Metros - an RV5 and an MV5. My Bacchus is crafted every bit as good or better. When I dig in, it does not buzz anywhere on the neck. I cannot say the same for either of the Sadowsky's. Sound wise, the Sadowsky's appeal to me more as I prefer the Sad pre-amp over the Bart. I'm considering removing the electronics in the Bacchus as I think it would kill with Sadowsky guts.
To each his own. My bacchus ain't even close. It's a great bass for the money but the comparison is laughable IMO.
Mine was considered top of the line when it was produced. One would have to lay hands on it to understand where I'm coming from.
Some qns,
1. Does Guitar Japan ship worldwide?
2. Is the dimensions of the humbuckers of the bass the same of sayy... Nordstrand Fatstacks?
4. Anybody got a rundown on how the controls are layed out on the 24 Alder Custom or the Standard Hollow (Vol, Balancer[pan pot i assume], Treble, Bass, what does the switch do)?
Thanks.
My only gripe is I wish they offered more maple necks. The MOP blocks/lightly figured maple on my current Bacchus is HOT.![]()
