Also I agree with all the Fender comments. I have not played a Sadowsky, but my old MIA Fender Jazz (same specs) simply cannot touch my Bacchus in terms of anything.

I don't think both are Impressions. Impressions I see on the site are the ones with Flame Top and sort of a golden brown fretboard.
Anybody knows the real model and has links to the site?
It might be an older model. It has the "Begining of the new tradition" under the Bacchus logo.

Mine's a new one too. Some of the different models like the 24F ones just have Bacchus but the J and P Classics and the Woodlines and stuff all have the typo too I'm pretty sure. They must have ordered a killion decals and then went, crap!
They're the old Impression model, discontinued about 5 years ago. I've been speaking to Aki via email over the last few days, very nice fella, and from the horses mouth...
"We are planning to make Impression35-5 again probably early next year as STANDARD35-5. The new STANDARD35-5 will have angled headstock like our Twenty-Four. "
They're looking to get some international distribution over the next year or so and break out of the domestic Japanese market, which has me excited and my bank balance worried

It's great that there are companies really bringing the best out of themselves and making the best basses they can, no compromises, with the likes of you and I being the benefactors

Very true, and it's especialy nice that Bacchus doesn't make you bend over and grab your ankles when it comes time to write the check for a hand crafted instrument of top notch quality .
The UK charge you 17.5% which is a complete joke. All the money goes to stupid things like digging up perfectly good roads. We also get charged a 'handling fee' because Royal Mail have to put it in a van for 5 minutes. Honestly, the Japanese side of the postage runs like clockwork. Its cheap, fast and easy and you are informed at every stage. It really is a pleasure. It is just a shame the UK side is so innefficient and expensive.
