Back and forth?

One day I want the Warwick, and then the Spector, then a Ibanez. Its been a good 3 weeks and I still have not pulled the trigger. Maybe its because nobody has these brands so I can try out. Its hard to decide on a bass from a picture no matter how much information you guys post!

Maybe try going Back and Fifth...they're both perfect. :)

That's only three. What the fourth which is causing you to back and FORTH?

John

Haha I have the same problem all the time when it comes to ordering. Theres way too many nice basses out there.

I will say though, I ordered a Spector performer a few years back from ebay. It maybe one of Spector's lower end basses but that thing could thump like hell and the neck felt like butter, I cant even imagine what a Euro plays like.

There's probably no going wrong with Warwick or Spector. Does that help any? =P I think you should just have a look around any stores. Even if you have to order online and return if you don't like it. Might be worth it, just to try them out.

Yeah, you're in a tough spot, but a good one to be in since you've broken it down to 3 basic styles. Shame you can't get to a music store that carries any of the three. Sometimes just holding a bass will tell you much about its fit (for you). You may be able to rule out one or two if you find the fit a bit off. Thats without even playing it. Of course, when you play it, you'll know for sure. Hmmm....

I agree though about Specter and Warwick, subtle choice there, especially Streamers, of course. And the Ibanez basses are similarly shaped too, but can sound totally different.

You could let circumstance/luck decide for you. Keep your eye out for any of the three, and the first one that presents itself to you, grab it! Call it fate or whim of the gods or whatever. Kinda how I stumbled upon mine. Felt like Conan finding his sword in the cave, heh heh.

Maybe that doesn't help, but I do understand your situation. I've been in the same one. A bass is a very personal thing, and having the 'right' one is important to the enjoyment of playing it, which is kinda the point, right?

Good luck man! :)

In the end it probably won't matter which one you buy... because you'll still want the others, too.

Such is the nature of GAS:D
