Got a back up bass.
Having something ready to go is the bomb.

30 seconds to change a string mid set?i've broken one string in the last 10 years and it was on a gig i was playing a Labella 105 roundwound tuned down to C with a pick. took 30 seconds to change the string and we were back at it. Only time i bring two basses is if i need something for a different tuning.

What are you waiting for? When I replace my strings, I keep the old set in the case/bag. But in 45 years of playing, I've never broken a string.
