Bad day for the b2-r?

I believe they're called SVT's :D
Mmmm dunno...
Seen lotsa double cab SVTs against Stacks ... just fine but I saw a friend , Fred, in 71/72 up against (2) double stack Marshall’s cranked... Fred’s single cab 361 was turned to maybe 4.5 while them stacks was at 11!

....Here go the flames...

Only amps I’ve Ever seen emit “blue smoke” were tube heads.

• 1976 At an all day “out on the farm jam.”... Dude!... don’t bring a rig... SVTs will be set up! ( brought my 370 anyhow)
... then came the blue smoke. Didn’t bring a cab but my 371 head saved the show and at 45 years old ... she still fires up and plows through any mix you want to throw at her ! My trusty Kustom does too... even older but requires my Furman PQE3 to stand against them big boys

For classic “radio hit tone”...Still love them old flip tops .. even made an 18 cab version as I understand

I will probably upgrade to a Bergantino setup at some point, but I've had my Ampeg B2-R and SVT-1510HE since 1994. This setup served me extremely well and I received a lot of compliments over the years. And my bass was an Ibanez SR885.
Bergantino is VERY “transparent”; what you hear is what you actually sound like .
I bought forte’ nearly 2 years ago
Head weighs 6.5 ? Handles 8-4-2 ohms no problem . Generally sound “best” set flat ; adjust tones from your bass
YMMV. HDN 1-12 is light and handles low B . I turn off the horn in mine.
Ok.. back to thread...
