Badass black basses!

I got a Douglas hollowbody violin bass about a month ago, which I got a hell of a deal on, I think. It plays and sounds really nice. I just need some flats for it. I thought I was going to keep the rounds on it and go back to those type of strings, but not for this bass, at least.

Flats go great on a Violin Bass. Good one Paul, you waited long enough to acquire one.

In a way, those basses remind me of a Dali painting. How long did it take you to get use to the way the frets are positioned?
Thanks.... they don't take long at all. In fact, I'd say the vast majority of guys who have tried them, can't believe the literal seconds to a minute or two it takes to get used to the fanned frets. Higher register (above the 12th) can take a bit more time but it's definitely not bad....especially the Super series. The Afterburner series are the longer scale Dingwalls...they are a bit more fan severe. Still easy enough...the playability is the key for me. Quality is unbelievable :)
