What’s the going price on an S15-D? I’ve got my eyes on another cabinet. Tempted to sell this one but looking online there seems to be a wide range of prices. My guess would be $150 but I swear I seen some listed at twice that price. Not sure how they are getting that… unless these are a gem everyone is wanting to add to their collection. I have an amp posted on CL and it’s sitting on this cabinet. I’ve had several ask about the cabinet but they want me to give them a price. I’m like dude, just make an offer, I might just take it. My music room went from a 10x12 room to 6x8 lol. Having to downsize sucks.

Another (more portable) option would be to buy an S15L-'*' - * could be a D, B, or N.
It is just a slightly larger cabinet with a bit more low end extension.
If the room size goes down, don't you need larger cabs to compensate for the low end? Asking for a friend...My music room went from a 10x12 room to 6x8 lol. Having to downsize sucks.
On the pricing I have not seen anything as low as Monsieur Iriegnome noted (whose Modulii group I also admire). My S15B was 250 iirc. Good luck with your negotiations!
I've seen a few on Reverb sit there for awhile over $300, but then sell once they drop closer to $200-225. I'd probably try to get $250 for it, knowing I might need to come down a bit.

I had the SWR Big Ben with the bag end 1x18 in it. I built a fearful head box with a 1x6.5 (i think) and a horn. 3 way crossover. Sounded incredible. The 18 with girthy and massive below 300hz. IMO you need to cross them over at pretty low frequencies to get the best results.

My main rig in my home studio is an old '71 Ampeg V-2 hooked up to my Bag End S15D. I truly love this setup.. super musical and warm sounding.
But...: Firing up that old Ampeg for short practice sessions is not ideal and I am looking for a lightweight solid state head with some punch as an alternative. I'm going on the 2.hand market to keep my budget down.. currently considering a Hartke TX600 in mint condition, but it is to far away for me to test.
How about it? Could this Hartke work? What are you S15D owners plugging into? Are there any light weight SS tops that is a particular good match with this cab?

I use a MESA WD800 with 2 S15B cabs and have a Quilter BB 800 and the newer version of the Quilter.
I'll second the Mesa recommendation. The Subway heads all get a lot of deserved attention. You can get some good deals on the original D800, which doesn't have as many bells and whistles as the others, but has a warm, rich tone that I love.
Another smaller, more affordable option is the Genzler Magellan 350. I got one to bring along as my backup amp, and I find myself using a lot for practice because it pairs really well with my Bag End 210.

I actually had a pair of S15N cabs with Bag End Neo Drivers… they were great sounding cabs but I sold them off and now use the S15B cabs with the traditional BE drivers.. they’re approximately 10 lbs heavier but still weigh under 50 lbs and are very manageable.
I never had a chance to A/B them but I had the NEO cabs for several years and used them countless times. They sounded fine. Jim said there would be enhanced bass and treble with the NEO drivers. I simply wanted to get the Birch cabinets since I like the way they look and sound.

Thank you, Sir. I use a birch cabinet with a ceramic speaker myself. If I get back to gigging, I'll be looking to add another.
So I picked up these two Bag End S15-D’s over the last few months. Cleaned them up quite a bit… still needs a little more cleaning. I know it doesn’t matter… I’m just OCD that way. Even ordered a new sticker for the top cabinet. Question tho… these have a rubber type coating on the grill. If I wanted to touch up the grills… would I use something like plasti-dip and spray over them, or just get some black gloss shaker can paint?
