Bag End deep 15s?

Good price if they have the original drivers. I'd pull them and see before buying. The magnet should have the Bag End logo on them, although I think some of the early ones may have had Ev's.

These are very nice sounding 15's if you don't mind the size. Although the size is what gives you the low end extension.

Most manufacturers stuff them into boxes that are too small, you'll get more sensitivity but less low end.

Oh yeah - those are S15B-B or something along that line - can't remember which is for the cabinet finish.

8 ohms, 200 watts rms. Don't let the relatively low watt rating scare you - these are a pretty efficient cabinet with pro quality drivers. 2 of them will easily get louder than your band can stand.

yeah, I'd pass too unless he can round up the original speakers for them.

Actually, they might be worth 300 or so if you can try them out and they sound good to you, but they aren't really Bag Ends anymore.

All you are buying now is a box with random speakers that may or may not have proper specs for the cabinet.

You may as well build your own box and put a couple Eminence 3015's in it. About the same cost and they will handle a lot more power than the Peaveys ever thought about.

You can get the original speakers from Bag End. Figure how much the boxes and two original speakers would cost. Then maybe you can sell the Peaveys and recoup part of that. But, not as much of a bargain as it initially appeared.

I have the newer version of those cabs, and I love them to pieces, but I would not buy them with the Peavey cones. Maybe he would sell you the empty boxes for cheaper? I see one of your locations is Nevada, and you travel around... there's a guy in Eugene OR that has one or two of these at a fair price with the original speakers.
