Bag End Stack in the House!

I haven't gotten anything new, but I'm still using my S15D/S15XD stack and loving every second of it. I picked up a GK 800RB that I've been using lately. I know it was a very popular combo in the 80's and I can certainly understand why.

It's crossed my mind to get either a replacement S15D speaker to replace the coax speaker in my XD cab, or just get a 2nd S15D cab. I'm not a fan of tweeters really. It doesn't bother me too much, but in a perfect world I wouldn't have one.

I liked the 2-S15D stack better than the S15D/S15XD pair.

I giged last weekend with an MBIII running my S15D and it was tone heaven.
I have an additional S15L-XD for louder gigs but honestly I just don't find a need for tweeters either.
BAGEND till the END here!

Picked up an old (black carpet) S12D to go with my S15D. I now know why James Hart and others mention this combo all the time. I power these with either a PF500 or Eden WT330 and have been very satisfied. They are so easy to move I use both even when the gig doesn't call for it just because they sound so good together.

Yup, whenever folks come over, I always run them through the big cabs and then through the little S15 stack and they are always impressed.

Bag Ender's, I humbly return to the fold.:hiding:
You may have seen my 2 S15's for sale. I bought a 'Super 12' cab that shall remain unnamed, thinking it might replace my 15's.:rollno:
It just arrived today and...........the little 'ol baggie just KILLED it.:bassist:. Luckily, I still have one S15 left!
So, anybody want to buy a boutique 12 cab w/low miles?

Gents, posted this in what I thought was the "official" go-to BE thread. Appears as though I was wrong, THIS is the BE thread. Well, here's my ?(s) for all you BE lovers. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

"I'm on the fence about selling my pair of DB112's and springing for a pair of S12's or S15's (in oiled birch). I don't dislike the Aggie cabs. However, the oiled birch cabs are really speaking to me. I was wondering if any of you had any real world experience with the BE S12's and Aguilar DB112's. I am really interested to see how the two cabs compare as there isn't too much info on the S12's

Also, when comparing the BE 12s and 15's....how much different are the two? I looked and it appears there really isnt much price difference between the two....specs are almost identical aside from a few extra pounds and the dimensions. I like the compact form factor of the S12. However, if the S12 cant hang than it cant hang.

FWIW, I am using a jazz clone with an Aguilar TH500. Volume levels/needs are within normal ranges. Thanks!

picked up a pair of oiled birch S-15/S-15X here on TB, I already had an older S-15w/black carpet. It sounded fine as a stand alone 15, then I tried the new combo and then tried just the 15's without the coax cab. I think I prefer the 15's w/ the one coax cab to just the 15's alone. Gives it a little more definition. Will probably still keep the older S-15 when just one cab is sufficient. The two oiled birch cabs stacked looks nice too. I use a Euphonic audio 500 head so there is lots of flexiblity there.

Two S15B-C (older version, black rather than oxblood). I always break into a Carole King song, I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet. :D Shown with a GenzBenz GBE600 with home-made cabinet around the head. I generally use a Shuttle 6.0, but the GBE600 actually has a couple of additional sounds that I like.

No, the photo is not reversed - I am lefty. And, like a lot of bassists, I owned the mixer and most of the p.a. as well. :hmm:

We recently played another outdoor festival, and the other bassists used my rig, since I was running through the p.a. already. One guy kept remarking "Good Gawd!!!" as he played.

EDIT: BTW, I have NEVER, NEVER had to use both cabs indoors, regardless of the size. I use both only when outdoors.
