Bag for Avalon U5?

In your position I might look at a thickly padded snare drum case, possibly a 10" or 12" diameter? Or a Pelican case (best of all in terms of impact resistance and liquid resistance), but I don't know if they make one in an "ideal" size for the U5.

A few years ago I found a tool box at Home Depot that the U5 fits perfectly in-- like it was made for it. Apparently made to put tools in, it's textured black plastic with silver trim. It came with dividers in it but with these taken out the foam rubber packing material that came form the U5's shipping box fits perfectly.

These boxes are pretty common. I think store like Home Depot still sell them.

Hope it helps!

Mooradian (the 'Walter Woods bag company') makes a U5 bag (they'll make bags for everything, but have the measurement specs on the U5 already). There's a picture of a U5 in the bag on their website.

Nice stuff... a little spendy (around $100), but worth it IMO.

SKB makes a case that fits well.
