Baltic amber pickguard?

Where would one obtain a "Baltic Amber" pickguard for a Musicman bass?
Or even have one custom made?
I normally use Chandler (Pickguard Heaven) but they don't appear to have that material.

TBer chuck norriss can put veneers on pickguards. He does great work. Maybe he'll have or be able to obtain some baltic amber.

I got mine last year from Chandler. It wasn't listed on their site, but another TB'er told me that's where he got his, so I emailed them. They said they took it off their site because they were out and couldn't get any more. But, he said he had some scraps and had a big enough piece to make one for my Sterling.

I guess all you can do is email them and ask. Be sure to tell them what you want to put it on.

I had a very similar setup on an SR5 a few years back. I got mine from Pickguard Heaven and the color is indeed "Baltic Amber." I always thought it was one of the prettier basses I ever owned.

Yep! I think it was pics of your 2008LE that sold me on getting the BA p/g for mine.

And in case anyone doesn't know, Pickguard Heaven and Chandler are the same thing.

When I got mine from Pickguardheaven they called it Baltic Amber. Now what seems like the same material is called Gold Rush Pearl

I've only seen "Baltic Amber" as a factory option on Dingwalls. If it's proprietary everyone else has had to think up another name.
