I think it's funny when people make a misguided and obvious attempt to take on the persona of the person or symbol in their avatars, like tough guy Lemmy, American flag conservative guy and I play fretless (poorly) so here's a pic of Jaco guy.

Of course that could just be a subconscious projection.

Edit: I left out the kids will really dig my obscure 70's TV show character avatar guy. He's a hoot.

If anything ever happens to me, I expect TB to be flooded with sword-wielding alcoholic misogynist aardvarks.

I feel what your saying but it's their house, their rules. We asked to come in their house so we gotta respect the rules of the house. And as an guest, do we really have a right to ask for reasons why they do in there house? Just asking, NOT challenging anyone. Just asking

But you also have to remember that there are plenty of members who have paid money to be in this house. The reason for someone being banned, should be known. There should be a thread called
"Banned members and the petty things they got banned for"

Everyone has a right to know. This could also help avoid future bannings.

What's the story behind that, anyway?! I've been so curious.

Authorities decisions MUST be questions. The lack of transparency is typical of those in power filled with fear. For a world touting 'free speech', censorship is accepted at an alarming rate.

What did Nobody do?

It IS our business.

No, it isn't.

For obvious privacy reasons, the Talkbass moderating staff does not discuss moderator actions taken against any user with anyone other than the user in question. If anyone wants more info than that, they would have to contact the person in question privately and ask them. Discussing moderator actions publicly is not allowed under the site's rules:

Rule #5: Questioning a Moderation Decision Publicly If you have a disagreement with a moderator (If your thread gets deleted, if you get a warning, etc.), DO NOT post your complaint publicly on the forums. If you would like to raise a complaint regarding a moderator's actions, start a private conversation or email the moderator. If the moderator's response is unsatisfactory, please contact the forum admin staff by clicking the "contact us" link in any page's footer.

Whenever a member is banned, all that can be inferred is that site rules were broken either seriously enough or enough times that the system triggered a ban, like points on a drivers license. Anything beyond that is speculation that has no place in the public forums.
