That tone is crazy..haha. I am working on making more melodic basslines with mine. It clearly is incredible at being a noise generator. I'm surprised at how synthy this pedal sounds. It is actually a huge tone and I'm still figuring out how to dial it up so it mixes right on a record. Fun problem to have.

I have some Iron Ether pedals (Subterranea, Oxide, Xerograph, Polytope) and am considering the new FMeron. Used to have an SYB-5, which was interesting but not much use in a straight ahead rock band. Where does a Matryoshka fit with all this? Will it simply replicate what I already have or is it its own beast? In other words, do I really need it? Help!

I feel like the Matryoshka would be very complimentary. It might be able to replicate some sounds, but not all. It will also be able to generate sounds that the other pedals can't. It should also play very well with your pedals. Putting the Xero and Polytope after it will be awesome.
