Band names - HELP!

Me and my mates have recently got together to form a rock/punk band but we have a slight problem, we have no name.

Hopefully this is where you could come in. I would really appreciate it if you guys could come up with some random band names for us. Obviously ones that are not already taken but something original and unique to us.

There are four of us in the band, me (bassist/backing vocals), helen (lead vocals), holly (lead guitarist/backing vocals) and emma (drummer/backing vocals).

Thanks if you can help n thanks even more if you reply,

thanks again,

Jenny

Band Name Generators

Here are a few that popped up randomly as I was playing with some of the generators:

The Killing Four (only makes you smile if you're into the blues :) )
Curious Fate and the Crude Morale
Classical Trick of the Beginning Shrimp
Amphibious Cake
Generating Disaster
Censored Farewell
Dreams of Luscious Punks
Female Crackhead Bodyguards
Dawn of the Fuzzy Crack Dealers

If nothing else, they're amusing to play with... and they might give you some ideas.

Have fun!

Good luck with the band,
'rick

Band names are not something that can be decided by other people. Trust me. My first band went through 4 names before we settled on CharlieDontSurf. The band i play in at school has the most god-awful name i've ever heard but we haven't thought of anything else yet. meridius. We don't play death metal, it's pretty straight forward rock. I don't want to be meridius, but we haven't ocme up with anything better.

While we're waiting for Golden Boy to make his traditional suggestion, I have a list of band names that I posted in another thread. It was an abridged version of a frighteningly long list of suggested names for a band I was in in the '80's and '90's. We finally settled on Fuzzy Logic. But we went through a lot of choices to get there.

Okay, everybody. Brace yourselves. I found the list again. This thing goes for several pages. And the really funny thing is somebody was serious on all these suggestions. I am not going to post all of them. Like I said it goes for pages and pages. But I will post the ones that catch my eye.

Ready?

Tell It To The Priest
Blind Without a Dog
Talk To Your Daughter
Surfers From Iowa
Grubby Paws
Glass Eye Marbles
Needless Controversy
Inside Joke ( I actually like this one.)
Mars Needs Women and So Does Wayne (I'm Wayne)
Nerds On the Edge
Welfare Bound
Cartoon Characters
Bad Idea
Raised By Wolves Only To Be Killed By Science (I used this for an instrumental title)
Fools And Little Children
Lassie Loves Garfield (This ought to have been a title, but I never used it.)
Potential Cultists
Bee Movies
People With Instruments
No Sense Of Shame
Shameless (Oh look. A pattern forming.)
Black Market Teddy Bears
Irrelevant Flashbacks
Gypsies From Vegas
I Forget
Art of Vanishing (I like this one too)
Mental Radio
Golden Apples and Poisoned Pears (I used that for an instrumental title too)
Local Wildlife
Tiny Box of Fear ( I actually liked this one too.)

Wishful Thinking
Fuzzy Logic (The one we actually used for the next several years, This is just where it was in relation to the rest of the suggestions on the list.)
Carnival of Souls
Identity Crisis
Son of Lassie in 3-D
Formerly Something Else
Rhythmic Confusion
Rhythmic Confucius (I liked that better than the previous one.)
Wise But Wierd
Sane Asylum
Wisdom From The High Chair
Glass Hammer ( I like this one too.)
Touch Me There
Daisy's a Babe
Social Darwinists
Doctor Tongues 3-D House of Stewardesses (I think this was from a SCTV skit)

What I want you to grasp here is that this is a severely abridged list. There are four to five times this many names. And as bad as some of the ones I posted are, these are the good ones. I have kept the notebook because it has other things in it that are actually useful to me. But every once in a while I remember that, elsewhere in that notebook is THE LIST .

Enjoy.

If you ask for band name help on an internet forum you'll only get humorous and useless ideas. For example,

Pugburst
Goatwaitress
Intergoating
Hungry Hungry Huns
Beauty Only Offers Bitter Sorrows (this would make for great band shirts)
Goat With Gout
Dachshundsturm
Eelstorm
Stormgoat
Steamgoat
Steam-Powered Wolves
Snakesnacks
Battle Cattle
In My Pants
Quaint Gristle
Yakshaft
Hawkspleen
Trollspleen
The Texas Separatist Paramilitary Marching Band

"Bleeds Like An Elvis"?

No, I wouldn't invent a name for you - it's much nicer if you can come up with one yourselves. I think a band name needs to be such that there's a cool story to be told. Hey, if you ever get famous, every reporter is gonna ask "how'd you get your name?" - and there's better to be a better story than "well.. a bunch of internet nerds came up with it.." ;)
