Band 'Tinder'

Another variant I've seen a couple of times (paraphrasing of course):

"Looking for bassist, drummer, and guitarist to start a new band playing my songs. To be clear, I've written the bass/drum/guitar parts and just need you to play them live with me. I'm the creative core here and will be writing all the songs, but I'm open to consider letting you write your instrument's parts to new songs in future if things work out." ...swipe left...

I've never used Tinder, so for the purposes of this discussion, swipe left is reject.

Under 20... Swipe left
Under 10 gigs... Swipe left
Country music... Swipe left, and the next band too to be safe
We are very committed and will definitely get a record deal... Swipe left
We have an EP out and need you to learn all the songs by Tuesday... Swipe left
Photo with adults wearing shorts... Swipe left
Photo looks like it was taken after the band had cleared out the garage... Swipe left
Metal... Swipe left
Cool jazz... Swipe left, have a drink, shudder
Band has eleventy horn players... Swipe left
Top 40 covers band... Swipe left
Band obviously run by megalomaniac who would probably actually want to be despot of a small country... Swipe left.
wait what is wrong with learning all of the songs by tuesday? they seem ready to go

Band of Dentists is a good band name. Truth in advertising.
I was in a cover band with a couple accountants...

I have nothing against accountants and can easily imagine some accountants who would use a band as a counterpoint to the detailed, cautious, and analytical nature of their day jobs.

Alas, that was not the approach of the accountants whose band I was in.

It's funny, I was just thinking about crazy Craigslist ads this morning!! lol. "The Experienced [instrument]-ist of 3 years ISO band with 2 Grammys and 1 platinum album minimum." ads are quite a stitch.

The band conforms to ISO standards? Like, guitars with actions set to Fender standards and mullets to the requirements of the Mullet Standards Board of Canada?

I was also in a band with two accountants, but some else did the band accounts.
