BBQ sauce on a steak? That's sacrilegious where I come from... you buy steak to taste the meat.
You buy chicken so you don't have to drink the BBQ sauce straight.
Steak only requires two things. Salt...and Ground Grains of Paradise. If you don't have Grains of Paradise...just use fresh ground pepper.
For the last couple of years I've been partial to Stubbs BBQ Sauce (and pretty much all of the marinades) and Sweet Baby Rays Honey BBQ.
I'm gonna have to try some of that Grains of Paradise stuff, I've never even heard of it....I will add that when using pepper, a proper steak also requires beer splashes when cooked over an open fire, the way it SHOULD be cooked![]()
+1I'll go so far as to say that steak sauce doesn't even belong on a steak.

Side note: I was surprised to see Grains of Paradise mentioned in a Sam Adams beer commercial.
Sticky Fingers is the best stuff on earth.
