Barefaced Retro Six10 cab USA tour

Im pretty sure that Alex would be sending the cab out in the hopes that anyone signing on would genuinly be interested in buying one in the near future if it really hit the spot for their needs. Something to think about because, it's kind of a big deal to just hand off an expensive item like this that could be damaged everytime it is shipped. If there was a logical itinerary set up for shipping to each other, the price shouldn't be too bad, really.

I'm fine with anyone with some posting history here signing up - they don't have to have an intention of buying a Retro Six10 imminently. They do need to bear in mind that moving something this large isn't free but hopefully will be worth it! I'm guessing that those in metropolitan centres can hand the cab from hand to hand and only ship it to get to the next more distant location.

I think we'll build a lightweight flightcase for the cab and ship it in that, which should make life easier for everyone and keep the cab reasonably safe!

Does anybody remember the Wishbass debacle from a few years ago? A Wishbass made the rounds for a while, and at some point, the last person to have it went MIA and didn't ship it to the next person on the list. I'm not sure what came of that, but I would encourage those with a stake in this (Alex specifically) to work out some sort of an insurance policy should this sort of thing happen. I'm not saying that it will, but it couldn't hurt to be proactive about it.

Just a hop and a skip away from me (via FedEx).

This thread might well motivate a long overdue Phoenix AZ GTG

Excellent. It might fit on the back of my BMW GS:)

If we could get a bunch of us Phoenicians to chip in, each individual cost would be pretty low. I'd be interested in that. And I'm totally up for a GTG.

If and when this cab makes it to Ohio I'd be interested in checking it out. I'm in the Dayton area (45324) and can drive so I might be able to bridge the northern/southern ohio bits. :)
